John Bevis' Chart showing the "Nebula" in Gemini, M35

[Bevis' Chart with M35]

This image represents the first star chart showing open cluster M35, as a "Nebula" in Gemini. It was drawn by John Bevis before 1750 and proves that he must have independently discovered this open cluster, although this discovery is mostly assigned to Philippe Loys de Chéseaux.
