Hubble Space Telescope image of the center of M60, compared to a ground image.

The Hubble Space Telescope has imaged the center of giant Virgo Cluster elliptical galaxy M60. Investigations of these results have revealed that this galaxy contains a massive central object of about 2 billion solar masses.
